Stop Chasing Keywords Until
Your Pages Deserve to Rank

Spreadsheets of search terms feel productive. Thin pages and a messy site structure quietly cancel that work.

SEO ranking bars and search magnifier graphic

Someone always wants "more keywords on the homepage." We get it—search traffic sounds like free leads. But stuffing phrases into a page that doesn't help anyone is how you end up ranking for nothing useful, or worse, ranking briefly and then falling off.

Good SEO is mostly unglamorous: clear pages, clean technical setup, and content that matches what people meant when they typed the query.

Intent beats volume

A high-volume head term looks exciting in a tool. If your business closes deals through consults, a quieter phrase like "ecommerce website development Karachi" can outperform a vanity keyword you can't win against global brands anyway.

Ask: would someone searching this be ready to talk to us? If the answer is no, write for them later—or not at all. Not every keyword deserves a page.

Technical basics still move the needle

Index what should be public. Keep junk out of the index (thank-you pages, filter URLs, staging leftovers). Make titles and headings describe the page honestly. Fix broken internal links. Ship a real sitemap. Compress images. Don't make Google guess your canonical URL.

None of that is glamorous. It is why smaller sites sometimes overtake bigger ones that ignored the plumbing.

One strong page beats five thin ones

We've seen companies publish twenty near-identical "service in city" pages overnight. Search engines notice. Readers notice faster. Better to write one thorough service page with proof—process, FAQs, examples—than to spray duplicates and hope.

Same rule for blogs. A short piece that answers a real question outperforms a 2,000-word fluff essay nobody finishes.

Measure enquiries, not vanity rankings

Position 3 for a term that never converts is a trophy, not a strategy. Watch Search Console for queries that already bring impressions, improve those pages, and tie SEO work to form fills and calls. That loop is how SEO pays for itself instead of becoming a monthly report ritual.
